What does DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T stand for?

Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) is a suite of internationally accepted open standards for digital television. DVB standards are maintained by the DVB Project, an international industry consortium with more than 270 members.

  • DVB-S is the open standard for Satellite Televison
  • DVB-T is the open standard for Terrestrial television
  • DVB-C is the open stadard for Cable television
