Google TV the Smart TV platform from Global internet giants is set to land in the UK. Google TV will allow users to search internet content from sites such as , Youtube, BBC iPlayer Facebook etc, using a home broadband connection.

Details of the launch will be made when Eric Schmid the chairman of Google gives his speach in the MacTaggart Lecture 

Google TV boxes were launched in the USA last year but are yet to win over the buying public. However with Google's recent acquisition of Motorola we would expect to see more products launched in the near future
